Callívoro Marthand®Impregnated Apósito

Salicylic acid/Benzocaine

Read this label carefully before starting to use this medication, because

it contains important information for you.

Follow exactly the medication administration instructions contained in this label or those indicated by your doctor or pharmacist.

  • Keep this label, as you may need to refer to it again.
  • If you need advice or more information, consult your pharmacist.
  • If you experience any adverse effects, consult your doctor or pharmacist, even if they are not listed in this label.
  • You should consult a doctor if your condition worsens or does not improve after 6 days.

1. What is Callívoro Marthand and what is it used for

It is a medication that contains a keratolytic (salicylic acid) that facilitates the shedding of calluses and a local anesthetic (benzocaine).

It is indicated for the removal of calluses, corns, and warts in adults (under medical supervision in individuals under 18 years of age).

2. What you need to know before starting to use Callívoro Marthand

Do not use Callívoro Marthand

  • If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to salicylic acid, benzocaine, or any of the other components of this medication (listed in section 6)
  • If you are diabetic or have peripheral circulation problems.
  • If the area around the wart is injured, inflamed, red, or irritated.

Warnings and precautions

It is recommended not to use it together with other keratolytic products in the same area.

Avoid contact with the eyes, face, genitals, and mucous membranes.

Children and adolescents

The use of this medication in children under 18 years old will only be done under medical supervision.

Using Callívoro Marthand with other medications

Do not use it together with other products in the same area.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, and fertility

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using any medication.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you might be pregnant, or plan to become pregnant, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medication.

You should not use Callívoro Marthand during pregnancy, except for short-term treatment of a small skin area.

Oral forms (e.g., tablets) of this type of medication can cause adverse effects on the fetus. It is unknown if the same risks apply to Callívoro Marthand when used on the skin.

Driving and operating machines

The use of this medication has no effect on driving or operating machines.

Callívoro Marthandcontains natural rubber (latex).

It may cause severe allergic reactions because it contains latex from natural rubber.

3. How to use Callívoro Marthand

Follow exactly the medication administration instructions contained in this leaflet or those indicated by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Application in adults over 18 years:

  1. Remove the dressing from the package.
  2. Cut a piece of dressing to the size of the callus or hardness to be treated and remove the protective silicone backing.
  3. Apply the cut piece to the affected area, clean and dry, covering it completely with adhesive tape.
  4. Leave it to act until the callus can be removed without pain with the help of a warm bath (2 to 3 days).
  5. If the callus or hardness resists removal without pain, repeat the treatment by changing the dressing for a new one.

If after 6 days it has not been eliminated or symptoms worsen, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Use in children and adolescents

Children under 18 years will only use this product under medical supervision.

If you use more Callívoro Marthand than you should

Given the pharmaceutical form, it is unlikely that an overdose will occur.

4. Possible Adverse Effects

Like all medications, Callívoro Marthand may produce adverse effects, although not all people will experience them.

Redness and irritation of the surrounding areas to the callus or hardness may occur.

If you experience adverse effects, consult your doctor or pharmacist, even if they are not listed in this prospectus.

5. Conservation of Callívoro Marthand

Keep out of sight and reach of children.

Do not use Callívoro Marthand after the expiration date that appears on the packaging and on the overwrap after“CAD”. The expiration date is the last day of the month indicated.

Medicines should not be disposed of through drains or in the trash. Dispose of the packaging and medicines you no longer need at the SIGRE collection point of the pharmacy. If in doubt, ask your pharmacist how to dispose of the packaging and medicines you no longer need. In this way, you will help protect the environment.

6. Content of the packaging and additional information

Composition of Callívoro Marthand

Per cm2:

  • The active principles are salicylic acid (34.28 mg) and benzocaine (2.86 mg).
  • The other components (excipients) are: natural rubber (latex), colophony, and fabric support.

Appearance of the product and content of the packaging

Flexible patch containing natural rubber (latex), 7 cm x 4 cm. It consists of a film (brown color/ semi-solid consistency/ with slight adhesiveness) covering a white-beige fabric support. The adhesive face, brown in color, is protected with siliconized paper.

Package containing 1 patch (7 cm x 4 cm) for cutaneous use.
