Fluticasone Propionate
Flixotide Nebuliser Suspension belongs to a group of medicines called corticosteroids, which are used to treat asthma. The active substance in this medicine, fluticasone propionate, is a corticosteroid with mainly local effects on the lungs.
The medicine is used to prevent severe asthma attacks in patients who require high doses of inhaled or oral steroids. Starting fluticasone propionate inhalation in many patients allows the reduction or complete withdrawal of oral steroids.
Treatment of acute asthma attacks.
If Your Asthma Symptoms Get Worse or Your Asthma is Not Controlled, i.e., if your wheezing worsens or you need to use more inhalations of a fast-acting reliever inhaler, you should continue to use your medicine and contact your doctor immediatelywho will assess your condition and recommend the appropriate treatment.
Tell your doctor about all the medicines you are taking now or have taken recently, including those you have bought without a prescription.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine.
It is unlikely that the possible side effects of Flixotide will affect your ability to drive or use machines.
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you. Do not exceed the recommended dose. If you are not sure, ask your doctor.
Adults and Adolescents Over 16 Years of Age- 0.5 to 2.0 mg twice daily, strictly according to the doctor's instructions.
Before use, shake the container well by shaking it several times. To open, twist the top, movable part of the container and tear it off.
In case of overdose, contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately for advice.
It is very important to take the prescribed dose every day to ensure the best effect of the treatment.
Do not stop taking Flixotide suddenly, as your symptoms may worsen and hormonal disorders may occur in your body.
Like all medicines, Flixotide can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
