The medicine contains calcium pantothenate, which is a compound of pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) and calcium.
Pantothenic acid, in human cells, is mainly found in coenzyme A, which is essential in many metabolic processes, especially in carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism. Pantothenic acid is involved in growth processes, affects skin regeneration, hair, and nail growth.
Indications for use
Calcium Pantothenicum Jelfa is recommended for both the treatment and prevention of pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) deficiencies in the body.
Before starting to use Calcium Pantothenicum Jelfa, consult a doctor.
Do not take a higher dose than recommended, especially in people with hypercalcemia (elevated calcium levels in the blood), kidney stones, kidney function disorders.
Tell your doctor about all the medicines you are taking, or have recently taken, and any medicines you plan to take.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or plan to have a child, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.
Taking this medicine does not affect your ability to drive or use machines.
If you have been diagnosed with an intolerance to some sugars, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Recommended dose
One or two tablets (100 to 200 mg) two to three times a day, no more than 6 tablets a day (600 mg).
Children over 4 years: one tablet (100 mg) two to four times a day, no more than 4 tablets a day (400 mg).
A dose of 10,000 - 20,000 mg (10 - 20 g) per day may cause diarrhea and water retention in the body. In such cases, consult a doctor immediately.
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
When used as recommended, side effects do not occur.
