1. Qué es Anginocom y para qué se utiliza

Los principios activos de este medicamento actúan combinando la acción antiséptica y desinfectante de la clorhexidina, con la acción anestésica local de la benzocaína.

Este medicamento se utiliza para el alivio sintomático local y temporal de las infecciones leves de la boca y de la garganta que cursan con dolor, y sin fiebre, tales como: irritación de garganta, afonía, pequeñas aftas bucales.

2. Antes de tomar Anginocom

No tome ANGINOCOM:

Si es alérgico (hipersensible) a la clorhexidina, benzocaína o a cualquiera de los demás componentes de este medicamento.

Tenga especial cuidado con ANGINOCOM:

  • Si no tolera otros anestésicos locales como el ácido paraaminobenzoico (PABA), los parabenes o la parafenilendiamina (un componente de tinte para el pelo).
  • Si tiene alguna lesión grave o extensa en la boca.
  • Si padece periodontitis (enfermedad de las encías), debido a que la clorhexidina puede producir un aumento de los cálculos supragingivales.
  • No se debe tomar dosis superiores a la recomendada en el apartado 3. (Cómo tomar ANGINOCOM).

Se recomienda mantener una adecuada higiene de la boca para reducir la acumulación de sarro y la posible coloración de los dientes que puede ocasionar la clorhexidina.

Uso de otros medicamentos:

Informe a su médico o farmacéutico si está utilizando o ha utilizado recientemente otros medicamentos, incluso los adquiridos sin receta.

Aunque no se han descrito en las condiciones de uso recomendadas, no debe utilizarse con otros medicamentos de aplicación en la boca sin consultar al médico o farmacéutico.

Esto es especialmente importante en el caso de:

  • Otros antisépticos de la boca o garganta.
  • Medicamentos inhibidores de la colinesterasa (medicamentos para el Alzheimer).
  • Sulfamidas (utilizadas para las infecciones).

Los compuestos aniónicos y los agentes suspensantes, componentes habituales de los dentífricos, disminuyen la eficacia de la clorhexidina por lo que se debe enjuagar bien la boca después de utilizar la pasta de dientes.

Interferencias con pruebas de diagnóstico

Este medicamento puede interaccionar con la prueba de determinación de la función pancreática que utiliza bentiromida. No tome este medicamento al menos tres días antes de la prueba e informe al médico.

Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de utilizar cualquier medicamento.

IMPORTANTE PARA LA MUJER

Si está usted embarazada o cree que pudiera estarlo, consulte a su médico antes de tomar este medicamento. El consumo de medicamentos durante el embarazo puede ser peligroso para el embrión o el feto, y debe ser vigilado por su médico.

Uso en mayores de 65 años:

Las personas de edad avanzada y los enfermos debilitados pueden ser más sensibles a la benzocaína.

Uso en niños:

Este medicamento no debe administrarse a niños menores de 6 años sin consultar antes al médico. Los niños pueden ser más sensibles a la benzocaína igual que los ancianos y los enfermos debilitados.

Conducción y uso de máquinas:

No se han descrito casos de que afecte a la capacidad para conducir o manejar maquinaria.

3. Cómo tomar Anginocom

Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración de ANGINOCOM a no ser que su médico le haya indicado otras diferentes. Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico si tiene dudas.

Si usted estima que la acción de ANGINOCOM es demasiado fuerte o débil, comuníqueselo a su médico o farmacéutico.

Este medicamento, es para uso bucofaríngeo, por lo que los comprimidos para chupar se deben disolver lentamente en la boca sin masticarlos, ni tragarlos, ya que su acción es local y sólo se manifiesta cuando el producto está en contacto directo con la zona afectada.

La dosis normal es:

Adultos y niños mayores de 6 años:

1 comprimido para chupar cada 2 ó 3 horas, disolviéndolo lentamente en la boca.

No se tomará más de 8 comprimidos para chupar en 24 horas (1 día).

Disuelva lentamente el comprimido para chupar en la boca sin masticar ni tragar.

Use siempre la dosis menor que sea efectiva.

Si observa que los síntomas empeoran o persisten más de 2 días después de iniciar el tratamiento o aparece fiebre, dolor de cabeza, náuseas o vómitos, debe consultar al médico lo antes posible.

Si toma más ANGINOCOM del que debiera:

Si usted ha tomado más de lo que debe, consulte inmediatamente a su médico, farmacéutico, o llame al Servicio de Información Toxicológica, teléfono 915 62 04 20, indicando el medicamento y la cantidad tomada.

Los signos de sobredosificación se manifiestan con: habla balbuceante, adormecimiento, marcha tambaleante, visión borrosa o doble, mareos, excitación o convulsiones, tintineos de oídos, aumento de sudoración. También puede presentarse una disminución de la tensión arterial.

4. Posibles efectos adversos

Al igual que todos los medicamentos, ANGINOCOM puede producir efectos adversos, aunque no todas las personas los sufran.

Puede aparecer coloración de los dientes. Esta tinción o coloración, puede ser más pronunciada en las personas que tengan placas de sarro en los dientes. Esta alteración del color de los dientes no es permanente y se puede eliminar por medio de una limpieza bucal. También se puede alterar el color de los empastes, en cuyo caso, esta coloración sí que puede ser permanente.

Puede aparecer alteración en la percepción del sabor.

En algún caso, ANGINOCOM puede producir irritación en la boca o irritación de la punta de la lengua que suelen ser pasajeras, así como reacciones alérgicas a la clorhexidina o a la benzocaína.

Si considera que alguno de los efectos adversos que sufre es grave o si aprecia cualquier efecto adverso no mencionado en este prospecto, informe a su médico o farmacéutico.

5. Conservación de Anginocom

Mantener fuera del alcance y de la vista de los niños.

No conservar a temperatura superior a 30 ºC.

No utilice ANGINOCOM después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase, tras la abreviatura: CAD.

La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Deposite los envases y los medicamentos que no necesita en el Punto SIGRE de la farmacia. En caso de duda pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que no necesita. De esta forma ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.

  • Como principios activos: Clorhexidina dihidrocloruro 5 mg, benzocaína 5 mg.
