1. Qué es Acetilcisteína MABO y para qué se utiliza

Acetilcisteína MABO se presenta en forma de comprimidos efervescentes, de color blanco, redondos, planos y en envases de 10 ó 20 comprimidos.

Acetilcisteína MABO pertenece al grupo de medicamentos denominados mucolíticos.

Actúa disminuyendo la viscosidad del moco, fluidificándolo y facilitando su eliminación.

Este medicamento está indicado para reducir la viscosidad de los mocos y flemas, facilitando su expulsión en catarros y gripe en adultos.

Debe consultar al médico si empeora o si no mejora después de 5 días de tratamiento..

2. Qué necesita saber antes de tomar Acetilcisteína MABO comprimidos efervescentes:

No tomeAcetilcisteína MABO:

  • si es alérgico a la acetilcisteina o a alguno de los demas componentes de este medicamento (incluidos en la sección 6).
  • Si padece úlcera gastroduodenal.
  • Si padece asma u otra insuficiencia respiratoria grave, ya que puede aumentar la obstrucción de las vías respiratorias.
  • No administrar a Acetilcisteína a niños menores de 2 años.

Advertencias y precauciones

Muy raramente se han notificado reacciones cutáneas severas como el síndrome de Stevens-Johnson y síndrome de Lyell, asociados en el tiempo con la administración de acetilcisteína. Si producen cambios cutáneos o en las mucosas, se debe obtener consejo médico rápidamente y dejar de tomar acetilcisteína.

La eventual presencia de un leve olor sulfúreo no indica la alteración del preparado, sino que es propia del principio activo.

Niños y adolescentes

Las personas menores de 18 años no pueden tomar este medicamento.

Toma de Acetilcisteína MABOconotros medicamentos

Informe a su médico o farmacéutico si está tomando, ha tomado recientemente o pudiera tener que tomar cualquier otro medicamento.

No debe tomar este medicamento si está en tratamiento con medicamentos antitusivos (para la tos) o con aquellos que disminuyen las secreciones bronquiales (como los antihistamínicos y los anticolinérgicos,…), ya que se puede provocar un acúmulo de moco fluidificado.

Cuando esté tomando algún medicamento que contenga minerales como el hierro o el calcio, o algún medicamento con antibióticos tipo (amfotericina B, ampicilina sódica, cefalosporinas, lactobionato, eritromicina y algunas tetraciclinas) debe separar su toma de la toma de acetilcisteína al menos 2 horas.

3. Cómo tomar Acetilcisteína MABO

La dosis recomendada es:

Adultos (a partir de 18 años):

Administrar 1 comprimido (600 mg de acetilcisteína). No superar la dosis de 1 comprimido (600 mg) al día.

Uso en niños y adolescentes:

Las personas menores de 18 años no pueden tomar este medicamento.

Acetilcisteína MABOse toma por vía oral. Los comprimidos efervescentes se deben disolver en un vaso de agua. No ingerir hasta que haya cesado completamente el burbujeo.

Se recomienda beber abundante cantidad de líquido durante el día.

No administrar Acetilcisteína MABO en niños menores de dos años.

Si usted toma más cantidad de Acetilcisteína MABO del que debiera:

En caso de sobredosis o ingestión accidental consulte inmediatamente a su médico o farmacéutico o llame al Servicio de Información Toxicológica, teléfono: 91 562 04 20, indicando el medicamento y la cantidad ingerida.

5. Conservación de Acetilcisteína MABO

Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.

Conservar en el embalaje original

No conservar a temperatura superior a 30ºC.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Deposite los envases y los medicamentos que no necesita en el Punto SIGRE de la farmacia. En caso de duda pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que no necesita. De esta forma, ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.

No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.
