Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all medicines you are taking, or have recently taken, and any medicines you plan to take.
No interactions with other medicines are known.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or plan to have a child, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
Your doctor will only consider prescribing aciclovir if the expected benefits to the mother outweigh the potential risks to the fetus or baby.
Due to its consistency, the ointment temporarily impairs vision, which should be taken into account when driving, operating machinery, or using hazardous tools.
This medicine should always be used as directed by your doctor. If you are unsure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
If you are using other eye drops or ointments, wait 15 minutes between each medicine and always apply the eye ointment last.
The recommended dose is a 1 cm long strip of ointment from the tube, which should be applied 5 times a day to the lower conjunctival sac (the pocket formed by pulling down the lower eyelid) every 4 hours, with a break at night. Treatment should continue for at least 3 days after the lesions have healed.
When applying the ointment, do not touch the eye, face, or any other surface with the tip of the tube.
Tilt your head back slightly and pull down the lower eyelid, placing the correct amount of ointment in the lower conjunctival sac. Then, close your eyelid slowly. After use, close the tube tightly.
If you feel that the effect of Viru-POS is too strong or too weak, consult your doctor.
If you use more of this medicine than recommended, contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
If you have any further questions about using this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
