Vinpocetine
The active substance of VinpoHasco is vinpocetine. Vinpocetine is a compound used in the treatment of diseases or alleviation of symptoms related to blood circulation disorders in the brain.
VinpoHasco is used in:
Before starting treatment with VinpoHasco, discuss it with your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse.
During long-term treatment, monitor blood biochemical parameters.
It is recommended to control the ECG recording in case of prolonged QT interval syndrome (changes in the electrocardiogram) or taking additional medication that causes QT interval prolongation.
You should consult a doctor, even if the above warnings concern situations that occurred in the past.
No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with kidney or liver disease.
No dose adjustment is recommended in elderly patients.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all medicines you are taking or have recently taken, as well as any medicines you plan to take.
In individual cases, vinpocetine enhances the hypotensive (blood pressure lowering) effect of α-methyldopa, so during such combined therapy, regular blood pressure monitoring is recommended.
Caution should be exercised when taking vinpocetine in combination with drugs acting on the central nervous system, as well as with antiarrhythmic (drugs used in cardiac arrhythmias) and anticoagulant (drugs reducing blood clotting) medications, and with glibenclamide (a drug used in diabetes).
The medicine should be taken after a meal.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or plan to have a child, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
VinpoHasco is contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
There is no data on the effect of vinpocetine on the ability to drive and use machines.
If you have been diagnosed with intolerance to some sugars, you should contact your doctor before taking the medicine.
This medicine should always be taken exactly as advised by your doctor or pharmacist. If you are unsure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The usual dose is:
Adults: 1-2 tablets (5 to 10 mg) 3 times a day.
Maintenance dose: 1 tablet (5 mg) 3 times a day.
The medicine should be taken after a meal.
If you feel that the effect of VinpoHasco is too strong or too weak, consult your doctor.
If you have taken more than the recommended dose, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
There is no data on overdose.
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
Like all medicines, VinpoHasco can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Keep the medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the package. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. This will help protect the environment.
The medicine is a white, round, flat, smooth tablet.
One pack of VinpoHasco contains 50 or 100 tablets.
