Rennie Antacid is a medicine that neutralizes excess stomach acid.
It contains two active substances: calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate.
Rennie Antacid is used for the symptomatic treatment of disorders associated with excess stomach acid, such as:

When taking Rennie Antacid, special care should be taken if:
The doctor or pharmacist should be informed about all medicines the patient is currently taking or has recently taken, as well as any medicines the patient plans to take.
Rennie Antacid may affect the rate and extent of absorption of other medicines. Therefore,
all medicines, especially those listed below, should be taken 1 or 2 hours before or after
taking Rennie Antacid:
The medicine should be taken after a meal. The medicine should not be taken with large amounts of milk or
dairy products.
If the patient is pregnant or breastfeeding, thinks she may be pregnant, or plans to have a child, she should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. Rennie Antacid can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, the recommended doses should be strictly followed and the medicine should be used as directed. The medicine should not be used for more than 2 weeks.
There is no effect.
One tablet contains 475 mg of sucrose. This should be taken into account in patients with
diabetes.
If the patient has previously been diagnosed with intolerance to some sugars, the patient should
consult a doctor before taking the medicine.
This medicine should always be taken exactly as described in the patient leaflet or as directed by

Adults and children over 12 years old:
1 to 2 tablets at a time, 1 hour after a meal and before bedtime.
No more than 11 tablets should be taken per day.
If symptoms do not improve within 7 daysor improve only partially, the doctor should be consulted, as tests are recommended to rule out a more serious disease.
Rennie Antacid should not be used in children under 12 years old.
In case of taking a higher dose of the medicine than recommended, the medicine should be stopped and plenty of fluids should be given to drink.

Like all medicines, Rennie Antacid can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Rennie Antacid may cause the following side effects:
Long-term use of high doses, especially in patients with impaired kidney function, may cause hypermagnesemia (elevated magnesium levels in the blood) or hypercalcemia (elevated calcium levels in the blood) and alkalosis (elevated blood pH).

Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste containers. The pharmacist should be asked how to dispose of medicines that are no longer used. This will help protect the environment.
The active substances of the medicine are: calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate.
The medicine contains 680 mg of calcium carbonate and 80 mg of magnesium carbonate.
The other ingredients of the medicine are: sucrose, maize starch, potato starch, magnesium stearate, talc, light liquid paraffin, peppermint flavor, lemon flavor.
The medicine is in the form of white, square tablets with the inscription: "RENNIE". The tablets are packaged in blisters.
The packaging contains 12, 24, 36, 48, or 96 chewable tablets.
