1. What is Compound Tormentil Ointment and what is it used for

Compound Tormentil Ointment is a medicinal product with astringent, drying, and anti-inflammatory effects.
Compound Tormentil Ointment is indicated for local treatment of:

  • minor skin damage, such as abrasions and scratches.

2. Important information before using Compound Tormentil Ointment

When not to use Compound Tormentil Ointment

  • in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients of the medicinal product
  • on open wounds and significantly damaged skin
  • in children under 12 years of age

When to exercise special caution when using Compound Tormentil Ointment

Due to the dark color of the ointment, it may stain clothing. Contact with the eyes should be avoided, and it should not be applied in the area of mucous membranes.

Children and adolescents

Due to the lack of data, the use of the medicinal product is not recommended in children under 12 years of age.

Using other medicinal products

The medicinal product should not be used locally with other medicinal products.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

The active substances of the medicinal product are fluid extract of tormentil ( Tormentillae extractum fluidum)
(1:1-2, extractant: ethanol 40%), ichthammol ( Ichthammolum), zinc oxide ( Zinci oxidum)
1 g of ointment contains 30 mg of fluid extract of tormentil, 20 mg of ichthammol, and 200 mg of zinc oxide.
The medicinal product also contains: lanolin, yellow vaseline
