How to use ENTEROFURIL

INSTRUCTIONS for medical use of the medicinal product PUSTYRNICA TINCTURE

Composition

The active substance: 1 vial contains a tincture of motherwort herb (Leonuri herba) (1:5) (extractant - 70% ethanol) - 25 ml;

A clear liquid of greenish-brown color with a specific odor.

Pharmacotherapeutic group

Sedatives and anxiolytics.

Pharmacological properties

The preparation has a sedative effect. Biologically active substances contained in motherwort herb (steroid and flavonoid glycosides, essential oil, stachydrine, alkaloid leopurin, saponins, tannins) enhance the process of inhibition or reduce the process of excitation in the central nervous system. It does not have a hypnotic effect, but facilitates the onset of physiological sleep and deepens it. It does not cause addiction or psychological dependence.

Clinical characteristics

Indications

Functional disorders of the cardiovascular system (neurocirculatory dystonia of the hypertensive type), initial stages of arterial hypertension, as well as increased emotional excitability, irritability, and mild sleep disorders.

Contraindications

Expressed arterial hypotension (reduced arterial pressure), bradycardia. Increased individual hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation.

Special safety measures

It is not recommended to use the preparation for a long time due to the content of ethanol.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions

Motherwort tincture can potentiate the pharmacological effects of sedatives, hypnotics, analgesics, antihypertensive drugs, and cardiac glycosides, as well as enhance the effect of alcohol.

When using any other medicinal products, you should inform your doctor.

Features of application
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

Since the preparation contains ethanol, the tincture should not be taken by women during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Ability to affect the speed of reaction when driving or working with other mechanisms

When using the preparation, you should refrain from potentially hazardous activities that require increased attention (driving, working with mechanisms).

Method of application and doses

Motherwort tincture is taken orally after meals.

Adults are prescribed 30-50 drops of tincture 3-4 times a day, children over 12 years old - 1 drop of tincture per 1 year of life.

The duration of the treatment course is determined individually for each patient, taking into account the nature, severity of the pathological process, characteristics of the disease, tolerance to the preparation, and stability of the achieved therapeutic effect.

Children

Do not use internally for children under 12 years old due to the content of ethanol.

Overdose

When exceeding the recommended doses of the preparation, dizziness, drowsiness, decreased arterial pressure, and possible development of increased sensitivity to the preparation may be observed.

In case of overdose, you should stop using the preparation and take immediate measures of symptomatic and supportive therapy (according to the patient's clinical condition).

Adverse reactions

With individual increased sensitivity to the preparation, the development of allergic reactions (including redness and swelling of the skin, rash, itching) is possible, as well as dizziness, drowsiness, feeling of fatigue, decreased mental and physical performance.
