Distraneurine contains the active ingredient clometiazol, which belongs to the group of hypnotics and sedatives. Distraneurine is used for the treatment of:
- anxiety, agitation, and some types of confusion in elderly patients,
- severe insomnia in elderly patients, when the use of other treatments has not been effective or is contraindicated,

Do not take Distraneurine:
Consult your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse before starting to take Distraneurine, especially if:
Risk of psychological and/or physical dependence: it may occur after prolonged administration of high doses. To avoid the appearance of withdrawal syndrome, it is recommended to gradually reduce the dose, according to the instructions of your doctor.
If you are unsure whether the above applies to you, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Children and adolescents
Distraneurine is not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age, as there is not enough information available about its use in this age group.
Older patients
