Acetilcisteina Teva 600 mg Effervescent Tablets EFG

Acetilcisteina belongs to a group of medicines called mucolytics.
Acetilcisteina Teva is used to make bronchial secretions thinner and less sticky.
It is used as an adjunctive treatment for respiratory processes with excessive or thick mucous hypersecretion, such as:

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.
Very rarely, severe skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome and Lyell syndrome have been reported, associated with the administration of acetilcisteina. If skin changes or mucous membrane changes occur, seek medical advice immediately and stop taking acetilcisteina.
The possible presence of a slight sulfurous odor does not indicate that the preparation is altered, but is characteristic of the active ingredient.

No interactions or incompatibilities with other medicines have been detected, although it is recommended that you do not take this medicine with antitussives (cough medicines) or with medicines that reduce bronchial secretions (e.g., atropine).

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Acetilcisteina Teva contains sodium
This medicine contains 193.89 mg of sodium (the main component of table salt/cooking salt) per tablet. This is equivalent to 9.69% of the recommended intake for an adult.
Follow exactly the administration instructions of this medicine given by your doctor or pharmacist. In case of doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist again.

Your doctor will indicate the duration of treatment with this medicine. Do not stop treatment before completing it, as you will not achieve the desired effect.
The tablets of Acetilcisteina Teva are for oral administration, introducing the tablet into a glass with a little water. A pleasant-tasting solution is obtained, which can be drunk directly from the glass.
The recommended average dosage is 600 mg of acetilcisteina, i.e., 1 effervescent tablet of Acetilcisteina Teva per day.
In children from 2 to 7 years, the dose of 600 mg is not recommended.
Do not administer acetilcisteina to children under 2 years of age.

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Ear and labyrinth disorders
Uncommon:tinnitus (ringing in the ears)
Gastrointestinal disorders:
Uncommon:abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders
Very rare:hypersensitivity reactions accompanied by urticaria
Respiratory, thoracic, and mediastinal disorders
Rare:dyspnea (difficulty breathing), bronchospasm (especially in patients with hyperreactive bronchial system in bronchial asthma)

Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the packaging after EXP. The expiry date is the last day of the month indicated.
Store in the original packaging. Do not store above 30°C.

Composition of Acetilcisteina Teva
The active substance is acetilcisteina. Each tablet contains 600 mg of acetilcisteina.
The other ingredients (excipients) are: anhydrous citric acid (E330), maltodextrin, sodium hydrogen carbonate (E321), orange flavor, L-leucine, and sodium saccharin (E954).

Acetilcisteina Teva is presented in the form of effervescent tablets, white, round, flat, and in packs of 20 tablets.
