Thiamine Hydrochloride
Thiamine hydrochloride, the active substance of Vitaminum B Richter, belongs to a group of vitamins that participate in the regulation of glucose metabolism in the body. Vitamin B has a beneficial effect on the nervous and muscular systems, as well as on heart function. Symptoms of vitamin B deficiency mainly concern the nervous system. They can also include gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, lack of appetite, constipation, and heart failure.
In certain conditions - during pregnancy, breastfeeding, during prolonged physical exertion or mental stress - the need for vitamin B increases, and therefore the taken doses should be higher.
Elderly people and patients who abuse alcohol have an increased need for vitamin B.
Taking Vitaminum B Richter does not require special precautions in any patient group, except for patients who have been found to be intolerant to certain sugars (see below).
Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all medicines you are taking now or have recently taken, as well as any medicines you plan to take.
Antacids used in ulcer disease reduce the absorption of vitamin B.
The medicine is taken regardless of meals. Alcohol and tea reduce the absorption of vitamin B.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or plan to have a child, consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.
Vitaminum B Richter can be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Vitaminum B Richter does not affect the ability to drive and use machines.

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Patients addicted to alcohol
Usually, the recommended dose is 4 to 6 tablets (100 to 150 mg) per day.
Other patients
Usually, the recommended dose is 1 to 4 tablets (25 to 100 mg) per day.
Vitaminum B Richter is taken orally. Tablets are best taken at the same time of day, regardless of meals. Doses greater than 2 tablets per day should be taken in 2 divided doses, taken in the morning and evening.
If you feel that the effect of Vitaminum B Richter is too strong or too weak, consult your doctor.
In case of taking a higher dose of the medicine than recommended, there is no risk to the patient's health, because higher doses (which could be harmful to health) are not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract.
Take the next dose at the scheduled time.
Treatment of disorders and diseases for which Vitaminum B Richter is used is long-term. Do not stop treatment without consulting your doctor, even if you feel better.
If you have any further questions about the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
