Retinol palmitate+ Cholecalciferol
This medicine should always be used exactly as described in the patient leaflet or as directed by a doctor, pharmacist, or nurse.
Vitamin A plays an essential role in the process of vision (ensuring proper functioning of the retina), is necessary for growth, regeneration, differentiation, and function of skin and mucous membrane epithelium. It participates in bone calcification and structure formation, in the process of reproduction and embryonic development.
Vitamin D is a bioregulator of calcium and phosphorus metabolism in the body, responsible for maintaining the balance between these two elements – the main building components of the bone system. Natural food products contain little of this vitamin (mainly in the form of provitamin) and even in a proper diet, its content is low. Vitamin D deficiency leads to osteomalacia (softening of bones) in adults and osteoporosis (rarefaction, porosity, and brittleness of the bone system) in older people.
The medicine is used to prevent vitamin A and D deficiencies. Such treatment is indicated for people who spend little time in the sun.
Before starting to use Vitaminum A 2000 + D 400 HASCO, discuss it with your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse.

Absorption of the components of this medicine (i.e., vitamins A and D) is reduced in the case of impaired fat absorption and low protein intake.

Absorption of vitamin A from the gastrointestinal tract is reduced in the presence of neomycin, cholestyramine, liquid paraffin. Thiazide diuretics increase the risk of hypercalcemia. Antiepileptic drugs, rifampicin, and cholestyramine weaken the effect of vitamin D. Use with caution with digitalis glycosides, laxatives, or sucralfate.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or plan to have a child, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.
