This medicine should always be taken exactly as described in the patient leaflet or as directed by the pharmacist or doctor.
Ulipristal Aristo is an emergency contraceptive intended for use in cases of unprotected sex or contraceptive failure. Ulipristal Aristo is an emergency contraceptive intended for use to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex or when the contraceptive method used has failed. For example:
The tablet should be taken as soon as possible after unprotected sex, within a maximum of 5 days (120 hours) after sex. The medicine is most effective the sooner it is taken after unprotected sex. This medicine is suitable for all women of childbearing age, including adolescents. The tablet can be taken at any time during the menstrual cycle. Ulipristal Aristo is not effective if pregnancy has already occurred. If there is a delay in menstruation, there is a possibility of pregnancy. If menstruation is delayed or symptoms of pregnancy (breast tenderness, morning sickness) occur, consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking the tablet. If unprotected sex occurs after taking the tablet, it will not prevent pregnancy. Unprotected sex at any time during the menstrual cycle can lead to pregnancy. Ulipristal Aristo is not intended for use as a regular contraceptive method. If there is no regular contraceptive method in place, consult a doctor or pharmacist for advice on choosing an appropriate method. How Ulipristal Aristo works Ulipristal Aristo contains the active substance ulipristal acetate, which affects the activity of the natural hormone progesterone, which is necessary for ovulation to occur. As a result, the medicine delays ovulation. Emergency contraception is not always effective. Out of 100 women who take this medicine, about 2 will become pregnant. This medicine is a contraceptive method used to prevent pregnancy. If pregnancy occurs, it will not terminate the pregnancy. Emergency contraception does not protect against sexually transmitted infections. Only condoms protect against sexually transmitted infections. This medicine does not protect against HIV or other sexually transmitted diseases (such as chlamydia, genital herpes, genital warts, gonorrhea, hepatitis B, and syphilis). If you have concerns, consult a doctor or pharmacist. More information about contraception can be found at the end of this leaflet.

All women should take emergency contraception as soon as possible after unprotected sex. There is evidence that this medicine may be less effective in women with a higher body mass index (BMI) or weight, but the data are limited and inconclusive. Therefore, Ulipristal Aristo is still recommended for all women, regardless of weight or BMI. If you have any doubts or concerns about emergency contraception, consult a doctor or pharmacist. If you become pregnant despite taking this medicine, it is essential to consult a doctor. See section "Pregnancy, breastfeeding, and fertility" for more information.
This medicine may temporarily reduce the effectiveness of regular contraceptive methods, such as pills and patches. If you are taking hormonal contraception after taking the tablet, you can continue to take it as usual, but you should use condoms during each act of sex until the next menstrual period. Do not take Ulipristal Aristo with other emergency contraceptive pills containing levonorgestrel. Taking them together may reduce the effectiveness of this medicine.

Some medicines may reduce the effectiveness of Ulipristal Aristo. If you have taken any of the following medicines in the last 4 weeks, Ulipristal Aristo may not be suitable for you.
