Pazopanib
Pazopanib Zentiva is a type of medicine called a protein kinase inhibitor. It works by blocking the action of certain proteins involved in cancer cell growth and spread.

Before taking Pazopanib Zentiva, you should discuss with your doctor:
Pazopanib Zentiva may cause an increase in blood pressure. Before and during treatment with Pazopanib Zentiva, your blood pressure will be checked.
Your doctor will advise you to stop taking Pazopanib Zentiva at least 7 days before surgery, as it may affect wound healing after surgery. Treatment will be restarted after the wound has healed.
Pazopanib Zentiva may worsen certain conditions or cause serious side effects. During treatment with Pazopanib Zentiva, you should be aware of certain symptoms to reduce the risk of serious side effects. See section 4.
Pazopanib Zentiva should not be used in patients under 18 years of age. The safety and efficacy of Pazopanib Zentiva in this age group have not been established. Additionally, for safety reasons, Pazopanib Zentiva should not be used in children under 2 years of age.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all medicines you are taking, or have recently taken, and those you plan to take, including herbal preparations and medicines obtained without a prescription.
You should tell your doctor or pharmacistif you are taking any of these medicines.
Do not take Pazopanib Zentiva with food, as it may affect the absorption of the medicine. Take Pazopanib Zentiva at least 2 hours after food or 1 hour before food (see section 3).
Pazopanib Zentiva should not be used during pregnancy. It is not known how Pazopanib Zentiva affects pregnancy.
Do not breast-feed while taking Pazopanib Zentiva. It is not known if Pazopanib Zentiva passes into breast milk. You should discuss this with your doctor.
Men(including those who have had a vasectomy), whose partners are pregnant or are able to become pregnant, should use condoms during sex while taking Pazopanib Zentiva and for at least 2 weeks after stopping treatment.
Treatment with Pazopanib Zentiva may affect fertility. You should discuss this with your doctor.
While taking Pazopanib Zentiva, you may experience side effects that affect your ability to drive or use machines.
This medicine contains less than 1 mmol (23 mg) of sodium per film-coated tablet, which is essentially sodium-free.
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you. If you are not sure, check with your doctor or pharmacist.
Pazopanib Zentiva, 200 mg, film-coated tablets:
The usual doseof Pazopanib Zentiva 200 mg is four tablets (800 mg pazopanib) taken once a day. This is the maximum daily dose. Your doctor may reduce the dose if you experience side effects.
Pazopanib Zentiva, 400 mg, film-coated tablets:
The usual doseof Pazopanib Zentiva 400 mg is two tablets (800 mg pazopanib) taken once a day. This is the maximum daily dose. Your doctor may reduce the dose if you experience side effects.
Do not take Pazopanib Zentiva with food. Take Pazopanib Zentiva at least 2 hours after food or 1 hour before food.
For example, you can take the medicine 2 hours after breakfast or 1 hour before lunch. Take Pazopanib Zentiva at the same time every day.
Swallow the tablets whole with water. Do not break or crush the tablets, as this may affect the absorption of the medicine and increase the risk of side effects.
If you take too many tablets, seek medical advicefrom your doctor or pharmacist. If possible, show them the pack or this leaflet.
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. Take the next dose at the usual time.
Take Pazopanib Zentiva for as long as your doctor recommends. Do not stop taking the medicine unless your doctor tells you to.
Like all medicines, Pazopanib Zentiva can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Brain swelling (Posterior Reversible Encephalopathy Syndrome)
Pazopanib Zentiva may rarely cause brain swelling, which can be life-threatening. Symptoms include:

Pazopanib Zentiva may rarely cause a sudden and severe increase in blood pressure, known as a hypertensive crisis. Your doctor will monitor your blood pressure while you are taking Pazopanib Zentiva. Symptoms of a hypertensive crisis may include:

The risk of these problems may be higher in people with existing heart disease or those taking other medicines.
Heart problems and heart failure, heart attack

Do not use this medicine after the expiry datestated on the bottle, blister, or carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.
No special storage precautions are required.

Pazopanib Zentiva 200 mg film-coated tablets are capsule-shaped, pink, marked with "200" on one side, and approximately 14 mm x 5 mm in size.
They are available in bottles with a child-resistant closure: 30, 90, or a multipack of 90 (3 packs of 30) film-coated tablets in a carton.
They are also available in transparent blisters: 30, 90, or a multipack of 90 (3 packs of 30) film-coated tablets in a carton.

Pazopanib Zentiva 400 mg film-coated tablets are capsule-shaped, white, marked with "400" on one side, and approximately 18 mm x 7 mm in size.
They are available in bottles with a child-resistant closure: 30, 60 film-coated tablets in a carton.
They are also available in transparent blisters: 30, 60, or a multipack of 60 (2 packs of 30) film-coated tablets in a carton.
