1. What is DIH MAX COMFORT and what is it used for

DIH MAX COMFORT coated tablets contain diosmin, a compound belonging to the so-called bioflavonoids.
The DIH MAX COMFORT medicine increases venous tone and has a protective effect on blood vessels.

Indications for Use

  • Symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency of the lower limbs:
  • pains and nocturnal cramps in the legs,
  • a feeling of burning in the legs,
  • a feeling of cold legs,
  • a feeling of heaviness in the legs, fatigue, discomfort, or restless legs,
  • varicose veins of the lower limbs,
  • venous ulcers,
  • enlargement of very small venous vessels, so-called spider veins and reticular varices,
  • leg swelling (edema / swelling of the legs),
  • itching, paresthesia (tingling),
  • redness (erythema) or cyanosis of the skin.
  • Symptomatic treatment of hemorrhoids (anal varices).
  • Monotherapy in the initial stages of chronic venous insufficiency or as a supplement to other therapies in all stages of chronic venous disease (C0-C6 according to the CEAP classification).

2. Important Information Before Using DIH MAX COMFORT

When Not to Use DIH MAX COMFORT

Warnings and Precautions

Before starting to use DIH MAX COMFORT, the patient should discuss it with their doctor or pharmacist.
If symptoms related to hemorrhoids do not improve or worsen despite using the medicine, the patient should consult their doctor.
In the case of symptoms related to hemorrhoids, treatment with DIH MAX COMFORT should be symptomatic and short-term.

DIH MAX COMFORT and Other Medicines

The patient should tell their doctor or pharmacist about all medicines they are currently taking or have recently taken, as well as any medicines they plan to take.
No interaction studies have been conducted.

DIH MAX COMFORT with Food and Drink

The medicine is taken during a meal.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

If the patient is pregnant or breastfeeding, thinks they may be pregnant, or plans to have a child, they should consult their doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.
Due to the lack of sufficient data, DIH MAX COMFORT may be used during pregnancy only if necessary.
It is not known whether the medicine passes into breast milk, so breastfeeding should be avoided during its use.

Driving and Operating Machines

Taking DIH MAX COMFORT does not affect the ability to drive and operate machines.

DIH MAX COMFORT Contains Sodium

This medicine contains less than 1 mmol (23 mg) of sodium per tablet, which means the medicine is considered "sodium-free".

3. How to Use DIH MAX COMFORT

This medicine should always be used exactly as described in this package leaflet for the patient or as directed by a doctor or pharmacist. In case of doubts, the patient should consult their doctor or pharmacist.
The medicine is taken orally.
Usually, the recommended dose is 1 coated tablet per day during a meal.
Only in cases of exacerbation of symptoms caused by hemorrhoids, it is recommended to take higher doses for a short period: 1 coated tablet 3 times a day for 4 days, and then 1 coated tablet 2 times a day, in the morning and evening, for the next 3 days.
If symptoms related to hemorrhoids do not improve or worsen despite using the medicine, the patient should consult their doctor.

Using a Higher Than Recommended Dose of DIH MAX COMFORT

In case of taking a significantly higher dose than recommended, the patient should consult their doctor or pharmacist.
There are no known symptoms of overdose.

Missing a Dose of DIH MAX COMFORT

The patient should not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

In case of any further doubts about using this medicine, the patient should consult their doctor or pharmacist.

4. Possible Side Effects

Like all medicines, DIH MAX COMFORT can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Rarely (in 1 to 10 patients out of 10,000):
gastrointestinal disorders,
nausea,
vomiting,
dizziness, headache,
malaise,
rash, itching, urticaria.
In the case of mild side effects related to the gastrointestinal tract and neurovegetative disorders (insomnia, difficulty falling asleep, dizziness, and headaches, anxiety), it is not necessary to discontinue the medicine.

Reporting Side Effects

If any side effects occur, including any possible side effects not listed in this package leaflet, the patient should tell their doctor or pharmacist. Side effects can be reported directly to the Department of Monitoring of Adverse Reactions to Medicinal Products of the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices, and Biocidal Products

5. How to Store DIH MAX COMFORT

Store in the original package, at a temperature below 25°C.
The medicine should be stored out of sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the package.
The expiry date refers to the last day of the given month.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. The patient should ask their pharmacist how to dispose of medicines that are no longer needed. This will help protect the environment.

6. Contents of the Package and Other Information

What DIH MAX COMFORT Contains

  • The active substance of the medicine is micronized diosmin. 1 coated tablet contains 1000 mg of micronized diosmin.
  • The other ingredients (excipients) are: microcrystalline cellulose, povidone K 30, sodium carboxymethylcellulose (type A), magnesium stearate, Opadry II Pink 85F24220 coating with the composition: polyvinyl alcohol, partially hydrolyzed, macrogol / PEG MW 3350, macrogol 4000 JP, talc, red iron oxide (E 172), yellow iron oxide (E 172), titanium dioxide (E 171).

DIH MAX COMFORT is an oval, biconvex, smooth, pink coated tablet.
One package of the medicine contains 30 or 60 coated tablets, placed in a cardboard box.
